Über-creative and quite accomplished, Kate Brankin’s work has been lauded by the some of the best – Graphic Design USA even honored her multiple times with the American Graphic Design Award (that’s pretty much the design equivalent of the Golden Globe – sans the bacchanal event).
Kate has both depth and range – from branding that conveys heritage, trust and steadfast reliability (Principal Financial Group, American Hospital Association, etc.) to cutting-edge, forward-thinking design that pushes the envelope right off the table (for three years running the American Institute of Architects has called upon her to design the invitation for their annual Awards Gala). Since 2007 when she first hung out her shingle (after spending her formative years with some of the best design agencies in Chicago), Kate’s clients have appreciated that she works in tandem with them from beginning to end – formulating a design direction that is rooted in the client's vision and positioned to further establish them as the industry leader. In 2010, Kate rediscovered her passion for typography and opened Kate Brankin Foundry. She loves developing letterforms, but hates coding kerning pairs. After hours, she reads, runs and cooks. (Ok, the running part is not true but you might not believe what she actually does...in her spare time Kate writes. Seriously, just check out her debut series The Bennett Trilogy or follow her escapades on her blog.) |
